Little Star Fitness provides….
Fun, innovative, sport fitness and dance programs, birthday party and corporate entertainment specifically designed for children between the ages of 2-12. Our main focus is to improve children’s gross and fine motor skills, coordination, and rhythm whilst building the children’s self-confidence in a fun and non-competitive environment. Children who participate in Little Star Fitness sessions will further develop their love for physical activity, dance and sport, assist with living a healthy lifestyle, decrease childhood obesity and increase confidence in all aspects of their life. All classes and birthday parties are delivered in English; however, we do have coaches available that speak a variety of languages.

Chanté took part in sports from a young age various sports from a young age. In 2016 Chanté moved from South Africa to the Netherlands, after finishing high school, to pursue her dream to work with children. Since she started working for Little Star Fitness in 2017, during these 4 years she had the opportunity to experience how children grow and develop their skills and confidence. This in turn fuelled her passion as a Sports coach. Chanté is focused on helping children to progress and development their skills while participating in fun sports activities. She also thrives on the enjoyment of seeing how children grow through these activities. Chanté is also currently busy with a Bachelors in International Business and Innovation.
Founder of Little Star Fitness
Little Star Fitness founder and owner Michelle Murphy has a life long commitment to having fun & being healthy. Michelle has been involved in sport from a young age, her commitment, love and dedication has seen Michelle become an Australian national champion in Swimming at the age of 12, represent her state in Netball and her greatest achievements to date was representing Australia in Touch Football. Aside from her sporting career, Michelle graduated from the Queensland University of Technology with a degree in Human Movement Studies and later received her Post Graduate Diploma in Education (Physical Education). Michelle has spent the past 9 years educating children as a Health and Physical Education teacher in Australia, during which time she obtained her Level 1 Coaching Certificates in Volleyball, Touch Football, Track & Field, Cricket and Netball. Prior to Michelle’s teaching career, she spent 6 years in the health and fitness industry gaining qualifications as a Personal Trainer, Fitness Instructor and Massage Therapist. Michelle is a passionate and highly qualified educator who delivers fun filled sport programs for children, in a safe and friendly group environment.
Head & Senior Coach
My name is Stéphane, I am 32 years old and I am a Portuguese adventurer I’ve been in Sports all my life, started as a young Judo fighter. After studying Sports Science, I became a Sports coach. I enjoy working with children, helping them to reach their goals and develop their physical, mental and social skills through Sport. Before coming to the Netherlands, I was teaching/coaching Sports in Portugal and then in France. I am very happy to be part of the team at Little Star Fitness
Jess recently relocated from South Africa to the Netherlands. During her career in SA, she ran the Sports Program at a Preparatory School for 5 years. Jess holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Sports Science and is a qualified Intermediate Phase school teacher. Jess strives for a healthy and active lifestyle supporting her passion for sport. She enjoys teaching the importance of movement and a healthy lifestyle to children, whilst also developing coordination, gross and fine motor skills.
Sports & Nutrition Coach
Born and raised near Utrecht, the Netherlands. During the past 14 years Nicole and her family moved 5 times between 3 countries. For the past 5 years she has lived in the Amsterdam area. Nicole has always been passionate about sports. During her teenage years she played volleyball at high level. Due to asthma she had to stop playing volleyball at the age of 18 but never stopped exercising. Running, pilates and body pump are her passion besides her sons. For the past 10 years she has been actively involved in the schools her sons attended. Every field trip or camp she volunteered to chaperone. But now with 2 boys in high school she was looking for another passion which she found as a sport coach. Since September 2016, Nicole has been actively coaching and educating children about the importance of fitness and nutrition in school settings. She loves spending time with children of all ages.
The first 5 years of Tom’s life were spent in the USA, Chicago area. He then travelled back to The Netherlands and again moved to Prague where he made his final move back to The Netherlands 6 years ago. Tom has always been very active in sports, with his most recent sporting success being selected in the Dutch national youth Ultimate Frisbee team. Sport is Tom’s passion and loves educating and helping children of all ages.
Sports and Nutrition Coach
Born and raised in the Netherlands she has always been very active in sports. In the early years mainly gymnastics at a competitive National level, but at the age of 16 she was “too old” for gymnastics. Tennis, horse riding and running followed and even during her study – Bachelor in Marketing and Communications, sport always played an important role in her life. After leaving the Netherlands and moving to Chicago in 2000, to work for a large advertising agency, she fulfilled her dream of completing a marathon. After finishing the Chicago marathon in 2006, she finished in ten more (international) marathons. But this wasn’t enough. She raised the bar for herself and completed two half Ironman’s (swim/bike/run). Nutrition is the fourth component of the triathlon, so she studied and received a certificate in Sports & Nutrition. Back in the Netherlands since 2011, she received her Anatomy degree, became a certified Running coach and started as Little Star Fitness Coach in 2016. She loves helping the little ones with the development of their skills. At home she is actively involved in the sport- and school performances of her two adolescent sons. Her dedication and love of sport makes her an enthusiastic and engaging coach who loves to share her knowledge and help other people and children to reach their own goals.
Sports and Nutrition Coach
Born and raised in The Netherlands in a multicultural home, Li grew up speaking 3 languages (Dutch, Hebrew and English). She did a lot of sports growing up, from horse riding to gymnastics, Li tried them all. During her school years she did 7 years of field hockey and 3 years of competitive swimming. Li also loves to surf with the weather permits. When Li was little, she was a very active child and found her release with sport and she has never looked back. Nutrition is another very important aspect in Li’s life. 3 years ago she decided to stop eating sugar, a decision she has never regretted. Music and signing is another hobby Li does in her spare time. In March 2019, Li was lucky enough to sign in front of 1500 people along side another well known and famous signer. One thing Li loves most is helping and educating children about the importance of sport and nutrition. She hopes to pass her knowledge and experience on to other children through her work.
